To increase patient safety by reducing the possibility of intravenous medication errors through the use of color coated
IV lines and corresponding colored labels.
Our History
ColorSafe IV Lines is the inspiration and invention of Terri Barton-Salinas, RN and Gail Barton-Hay, RN. Combined they have over 56 years of nursing experience. Terri and Gail realized the hazards inherent in using clear, indistinguishable intravenous lines and decided to come up with a solution. The team contracted Royce Brooks of Creative Safety Solutions to assist with product development, marketing and management. ColorSafe IV Lines are now available around the world.
